S-PDF is a merge PDF tool that does one job and does it well: you drop in several PDF files, put them in the right order, and get back a single PDF that looks exactly like the originals. There's no account to create, no watermark stamped on your pages and no email address to hand over. Your files are deleted automatically one hour after you're done — or straight away if you click Delete my files now.
Under the hood we copy each page into the new document instead of re-drawing it. That means text stays sharp and searchable, images keep their original resolution, and links on the page still work. It's the same approach professional PDF software uses, just without the price tag or the install.
How to merge PDF files in 3 steps
- Add your files Drag PDFs onto the box above or tap Choose PDF files. You can mix in JPG, PNG and WebP images — each becomes a page.

When people merge PDFs
Most merges are everyday paperwork. Students combine lecture slides into one revision file or attach a cover page to an assignment. Office teams stitch a contract together with its annexes, or collect a month of invoices into a single file for accounting. Freelancers build one portfolio PDF from separate project files, or send a proposal and a price sheet as one attachment instead of five.
In each case the goal is the same: one tidy document that opens on any device and prints in the right order. That's why the order controls sit front and centre in the tool — getting the sequence right matters more than any extra feature.
What gets kept — and what doesn't
Because pages are copied rather than re-drawn, the merged PDF keeps the text layer (so you can still search and select text), embedded fonts, vector graphics, image quality, page sizes and rotation, and clickable links inside the pages. Fillable form fields are kept in most cases too.
Two things are not carried over: bookmarks (the outline panel) from the original files, and passwords. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first — the tool will tell you which file is locked so you can fix it quickly.
Free and Pro limits
The free plan lets you merge up to 10 files and 50 MB at a time, 5 times a day, with no signup. That covers the vast majority of school and office documents. If you merge large scans or do this many times a day, Pro raises the limits to 50 files and 500 MB per merge, removes the daily cap and turns off ads.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free to merge PDF files here?
Yes. You can merge up to 10 files (50 MB in total) five times a day without paying, signing up or seeing a watermark. Pro is optional and only needed for bigger or more frequent jobs.
Are my files safe?
Files travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection, are stored in a private folder that isn't reachable from the web, and are deleted automatically one hour after your last action. You can also delete them instantly after downloading. We never read, share or keep copies of your documents.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are copied into the new file exactly as they are. Images aren't re-compressed and text stays sharp and selectable.
Can I merge only some pages of a PDF?
Yes. Under each file, type the pages you want — for example 1-3,5 or 4- (page 4 to the end). Leave it empty to include every page.
Can I merge images and PDFs together?
Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP images are turned into PDF pages (A4 size, original quality) and merged in the position you choose.
Why does it say my PDF is protected?
The file has an "open" password. Open it in your PDF reader, enter the password and save or print a copy without it, then add that copy. Files that only restrict editing or printing can be merged as normal.
Do I need to install anything?
No. S-PDF runs in your web browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad and Android.
How long do I have to download my merged PDF?
The download link works for one hour after your last action. After that, the files are deleted for good and you'd need to merge again.
