Where your donation goes
- Servers and storage. Every conversion, OCR scan and compression runs on our own machines — not on a third-party API — so your files never leave our infrastructure.
- The heavy engines. Office conversion, text recognition in 100+ languages and HTML rendering need real CPU time. Donations keep queues short and limits generous.
- New tools and fixes. Your support pays for the hours spent testing tricky PDFs, fixing edge cases and adding the features people ask for.
- Fewer ads. The more the community chips in, the fewer ads we need to show on free pages.
Other ways to support us
- Share a tool with a classmate or colleague who still pays for a desktop PDF editor.
- Link to us from your blog, school resource page or company wiki — it helps more people find free, private tools.
- Tell us what's broken. A bug report with the file type and what happened is worth a lot. Contact us.
- Go Pro if you use the tools every day — Pro removes ads and limits and funds the free plan for everyone else.
Donation questions
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No. S-PDF is an independent project, not a registered charity, so donations are gifts and are not tax-deductible.
Do donors get Pro features?
Donations are a thank-you, not a purchase, so they don't unlock Pro automatically. If you'd like unlimited tasks and no ads, choose a Pro plan on the pricing page — that also supports us.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. Most donation platforms let you hide your name or leave the message empty. We never publish donor names without permission.
Can I make a monthly donation?
Yes — Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee and GitHub Sponsors all offer a monthly option on their page, and you can cancel it there at any time.
I donated by mistake. Can I get a refund?
Write to us within 30 days through the contact page with the date and amount, and we'll refund it through the same platform.
